The Twin Villa was designed with very specific requirements in mind. The client desired an original yet minimalist theme for his home. The concept of minimalist architecture which is to strip everything down to its essential quality and achieve simplicity, was embraced thoroughly. Ornamentation, detailings, and joinery were introduced with maximum optimization of usable spaces in consideration.
As it was a small villa with limited space, I focused on maximizing the spaciousness of the rooms by carefully selecting angles, materials, and lighting. The wall tiles and paint were chosen to enhance the perception of space, utilizing colors and textures to create a roomy feel. Preventing congestion was a priority, so every piece of décor and furnishing was selected thoughtfully to complement the minimalist essence of Twin Villa.
The ample use of white, along with wall decorations like metallic frame art and abstract paintings, was intended to give the Twin Villa an original quality without excessive additions. The goal was to use simplicity and a few unique features to elevate the space. Abstract art canvases were incorporated to transform the ambiance and create an inspirational setting. These were contrasted against neutral shades and customized solid wood furniture, which featured laminates in the same color. The sofa upholstery, in a warm blue tone, perfectly complemented the other elements in the room. White curtains and blinds were chosen to enhance the sense of openness, making the space feel larger, especially in the morning light.
The kitchen was designed with symmetrical, clean lines and a white-and-wood color scheme. The combination of white and wood creates a grounded aesthetic, balancing brightness with warmth.

The combination of wood and white is timeless—wood adds warmth and authenticity, while white keeps the space airy and elegant. A breakfast bar was positioned near the kitchen, connecting it to the dining area for a seamless transition between cooking and dining. This design choice not only optimized space but also added a functional dimension to meal preparation and serving.
For the ‘Puja’ room, a minimalist and modern design replaced the traditional approach. Profile lighting was used to create an ethereal glow, highlighting the deity and enhancing the serene ambiance of the space.
